Patton Chapel
615 McCallie Avenue
Chattanooga, TN
423-425-4111

Perched prominently on a hill with sweeping views of Chattanooga Valley and Lookout Mountain , Patten Chapel has been the cornerstone of the University campus since its completion in 1919. The John A. Chapel was donated as a memorial gift by Edith Manker Patten and her children. Noted for its rich interior that includes Gothic chandeliers, deep oak pews, and a tile floor, the chapel has long been used for weddings, concerts, and lectures, as well as for official University services. The chapel contains a pipe organ that has been non-functioning since the early 1970’s.
