Hike and picnic in the nearby Stone Door and Savage Gulf nature areas. Visit one of the beautiful waterfalls, such as Greeter Falls, Laurel Falls or Savage Gulf Falls. Swim or fish in mountain streams or lakes at Long's Mill or the Collins River. Watch hummingbirds and other native birds feed as you rock or swing on the spacious verandas and decks.
Watch the shadows as the sun rises or sets over the Collins River Valley; also, enjoy the stars you had forgotten were there. Let the crickets lull you to sleep as the quiet of  the night descends over the mountains. The normal season is May 1 through October 31.
