Whitewater Adventure for All Ages

Enjoy the beauty and adventure of a 5-mile float sown Tennessee's first Scenic River.  The Hiwassee River winds through the spectacular gorges of the Cherokee National Forest and the pastoral setting of the Reliance Historic District.  Not nearly as wild as the Ocoee, the Hiwasse River is ideal for beginners and families.  Based on the International Scale of River Difficulty, the Hiwassee is primarily a Class II river, with certain sections considered to be Class III.  The Ocoee River is Class III and IV.

Let Webb Brothers Float Service send you on a whitewater adventure!  There are few recreational activities that compare to the thrill and challenge of paddlng down a whitewater river.  Whether a novice or experienced paddler, young or old, the Hiwassee can be the trip for you.  Rent a reft, or inflatable kayak ("duckie") and run your own trip without a guide.  Webb Brothers also offers the old-fashioned fun of floating down the river on an innertube.  We provide all necessary equiptment and shuttle transportation to the river.

Plan on getting wet in the clear cold waters of the Hiwassee.  A t-shirt, shorts or a bathing suit are recommended attire.  Shoes must be worn on the river, preferably sneakers or river shoes.  And don not forget the sun screen!  Remember to bring a change of clothes and a towel for after your trip.

We are dependent upon the seasonal TVA water schedule, but rentals normally begin at 10 a. m. and end at 4 p. m., seven days a week.  Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, but walk-ins are always welcome.  Call Webb Brothers for your whitewater adventure!
