, The Walnut Wall is a cooperative partnership between the
Chattanooga
City
Parks
and Recreation Department and The Adventure Guild. The Wall opened in 1993, and now, more than twelve years later, it stands proudly as an anchor point of Chattanooga's
Coolidge
Park
on the north shore of the
Tennessee River
(directly across from the TN Aquarium). The Wall is open seasonally to the general public and for groups on a reservation basis. The Walnut Wall is the perfect in town challenge for both novice and experienced climbers. The Wall is 50 feet high and has 10 top ropes leading to as many as 30 distinct climbing routes ranging in difficulty from 5.3 to 5.11 (YDS). All equipment is provided! Simply show up during the hours of operation and climb!

The Walnut Wall is open to the general public each weekend during:
• Fridays 6:00 - 9:00 PM
• Saturdays 1:00 - 9:00 PM
• Sundays 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Cost: The price for open climbing is $5 per-hour-per-person (with a three-climb minimum during busy times), or $15 for the entire day. The day pass includes re-entry privileges, so you can climb for awhile, stroll around the park, and then return to climb again later the same day!
