The arboretum contains 55 different treesand shrubs. State guidelines require a Level I arboretum to have at least 30 different species of trees, identified by their common and scientific name and description as well as a pamphlet on the arboretum's history. The gardens and some buildings date to the mid-19th century. The Bonny Oaks Willow Oak is over 100 years old. The arboretum is the site of the Hamilton County Agriculture Center. The UT Extension Center is housed here and offers classes on farming and gardening.

Hours: Open 24 hours, every day, all year

Directions: From I-75, take Exit 7. Travel East on Bonny Oaks Drive 3 miles to the third traffic light. Turn left onto Adamson Circle.
