Clayton's Pickin' Barn Performance Night
New Hope, TN

On the 4th Saturday of each month at Clayton's Pickin' Barn 7pm-10pm is a performance of local bluegrass and country groups. Refreshments and an occasional pot luck supper will precede the performance with delicious Southern-style homemade dishes and desserts. Often a jam session will form outside (weather permitting) of musicians waiting to go onstage, or just jamming.

There is a high quality microphone set up by the house for amplified acoustic performance. The small stage features bluegrass, country, and old-time fiddling. Local family bands and regional bands are featured, including Bend in the River with the Choate family musicians. Tri-State Bluegrass Band is the host band. Other local bands and combos are invited to perform. Some pickup bands are usually found to round out the evening.

Directions: The Pickin' Barn is located in New Hope, TN across the Tennessee River from South Pittsburg. Cross the blue, arching Shelby Richardson bridge, go about 0.7 mile, turn right on Highway 422 (Long Island Road). Travel about 1.5 miles and the Pickin' Barn is on the right.
