Chattanooga, TN – Shuptrine Fine Art Group / Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery is pleased to announce an opportunity to participate in a plein air workshop with artist Brett Weaver. Working in oils, Brett Weaver is an accomplished artist whose works are included in private collections nationwide. He is currently working on a body of paintings to be included in his inaugural museum exhibition to be hosted by the Tennessee State Museum in December 2008.
The workshop will focus on the simplicity of design and composition, and the importance of variety and color relationships, as well as being bold and direct. Mr. Weaver will demonstrate his techniques in the morning, and provide individual focus and critique while students paint in the afternoon.
The workshop will cost $120 per student, and Mr. Weaver will provide all paints except for white, and is open to art students of all levels. Please contact Shuptrine Fine Art Group / Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery for more information and reservations, as space is limited.
